About Courtney Brandt

Courtney has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2017, and as a registered nurse since 2013. She completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Truman State University, then went on to earn her master’s degree at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. She began her nursing career in adult health and then moved into pediatric nursing in the ICU at McLane Children’s Medical Center in Temple, TX. In both of these positions, she gained experience in caring for patients with allergies, asthma, and immunologic syndromes. As a charge nurse in the pediatric ICU, she treated patients who were critically ill with asthma and immunodeficiency syndromes. In her master’s program, Courtney completed training in adult and pediatric primary care medicine, preparing her to treat patients with allergies and asthma in an outpatient setting. Courtney is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a professional member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Texas Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society.

After graduating and completing her board certification in 2017, she and her husband welcomed their first daughter, Emma, and then moved to the Dallas area in 2018. They enjoy spending time together as a family, swimming, and traveling.
